COMMENTS: true brew

I was looking around the Yards Brewery site and found the funniest line about their new location:

The facility was originally built to house the brewing operations of the Weisbrod and Hess Oriental Brewing Company. Due to the unforeseeable dark days of prohibition in the USA, Weisbrod and Hess stopped brewing in 1939.

I love the drama in "the unforeseeable dark days". :)

I would love to taste some Weisbrod and Hess Oriental Brew.

In my letter to Yards, I offered to redesign their web site in exchange for a few cases of beer. Their reply ignored that part. Oh well!

Maybe you should have specified that you would have designed their website BEFORE consuming the beer. ;)

I don't know... Didn't Beth have a post saying she was more creative after consuming some wine? (http://www.dorkist.com/archives/2005/02/index.html#000364)

Maybe the beer would only have made their web site better. She could even put a note on it saying that it was inspired by many a drink. Then, everyone would know that Yards Beer makes you more creative. ;)

I stand corrected. :)

Hey - I'm totally there. When do you want to go?

I think their current website is developped by someone who has had way too much beer. I realize they don't know how good of a website developper you are, but what would they have to lose? A few cases of beer for a potentially much better website...if they didn't like your designs, they wouldn't have to use them, but I can't imagine that happening.
