“or whatever”

Since 1993

Every time I pass this sign I smile, and finally I walked by with my camera in tow. I think any "year" would be funny, but that it's 1993 is particularly amusing to me because it reminds me of being a sarcastic adolescent. "Oh, I guess we're from, like, '1993.' Let me put on a 'Pearl Jam' CD and buy some 'docs.'"

letter to levi's

I really hope they respond with some good news about this:

I'd like to know if any of your jeans still uses a 87% cotton/12% polyester/1% lycra spandex blend. I have a pair of 518's from 2003 that fit great and don't stretch out. I have a pair of 518's purchased a few months ago that are 99% cotton/1% spandex, and once I've sat in them for a little bit, they get stretched and start to fall off my hips, which really isn't an attractive look. It's also annoying to have to keep yanking them up all the time. But going a size down isn't really an option, because I'd never be able to zip them up after washing. I'd be willing to have jeans in the cotton/poly/spandex blend custom-made for $$$, if Levi's still offers custom jeans. My old pair is starting to wear thin and it's truly depressing. Thanks for any info or help you can provide!

ENDE

Does anyone else have the jeans stretching out problem, or is it just me? Maybe it happens because my belly always gets big when I sit down. Maybe they'll write back and be like, "Sounds like you need to work out." It would be the truth.
